Navigating Eclipse Season & Collective Grief: An Ancestral Guide to February-March 2026

Navigating Eclipse Season & Collective Grief: An Ancestral Guide to February-March 2026

February 11, 202611 min read

If you're feeling heavy, unsettled, or emotionally raw these days, you're not alone. The collective energy in our country right now is intense. I hope this finds you well—though I know that might feel like a complicated wish right now.

There's grief, outrage, fear, and a deep uncertainty about what comes next. Many of the women I work with are feeling it acutely—not just as observers, but in their bodies, their nervous systems, their ability to rest or feel safe.

I want to acknowledge that first, before I share anything else: What you're feeling is real. It's valid. And you're not imagining the weight of it.

Here's something I keep coming back to: Your ancestors have been here before.

Not in this exact moment, but in moments like this. Times of upheaval. Times when the ground beneath them felt unstable. Times when they didn't know what was coming next, when systems they relied on crumbled, when they had to make impossible choices about how to protect what they loved.

They survived wars, displacement, famine, persecution, political chaos, and unimaginable loss. And they did it without the resources, technology, or support systems we have access to now. They carried that grief, that fear, that rage—and they also carried an ember of hope, of resilience, of stubborn survival.

That ember lives in you.

When you feel the weight of what's happening in our country right now, part of what you're feeling is ancestral memory activating. Your body remembers times of collective trauma because it's been passed down through your lineage. But here's the gift: so has the wisdom. So has the strength. So has the knowing of how to survive, how to tend to community, how to find pockets of light in the darkness.

This is the work of generational healing—not just for your personal pain, but for the collective trauma we're all witnessing and carrying. When we heal the inherited patterns of fear, silence, or survival mode within ourselves, we're also healing it for our lineage—past, present, and future. We're breaking cycles. We're creating new pathways. We're honoring the struggles of those who came before us by choosing differently, by staying awake, by refusing to pass the unhealed pain forward.

Your ancestors deeply understand what you're feeling right now. And they are with you.

Navigating Eclipse Season and Collective Grief - An Ancestral Guide to February-March 2026

In times like these, spiritual bypassing—the urge to "stay positive" or "rise above"—can feel particularly hollow. We can't just meditation our way out of collective pain. But what we can do is tend to ourselves with fierce compassion while staying awake to what's happening around us. We can ground our nervous systems so we have the capacity to respond, not just react. We can honor our grief and our rage, and still create moments of sanctuary for our souls. We can lean into the lineage of resilience we carry, while also being tender with the parts of us that are exhausted and afraid.

The last couple of weeks, I've been sharing about the Soul Parent | Spiritual Child™ program, and today I wanted to shift gears and offer you something different—something to support you as we navigate not only the emotional intensity of our current moment, but also some powerful astrological shifts that are amplifying everything we're already feeling.

If you've been feeling a little "off" lately, more emotional than usual, or sensing that something big is brewing beneath the surface... it's not just the news cycle. The cosmos is mirroring and magnifying the collective transformation we're living through, and I want to help you move through it with as much grace, grounding, and self-compassion as possible.

Important Astrological Shifts Happening Soon—The Aquarius Solar Eclipse - February 17th, 2026

This Monday, we'll experience a rare "Ring of Fire" solar eclipse at 28 degrees Aquarius. This isn't just any new moon—it's the beginning of a new 18-month eclipse cycle along the Leo-Aquarius axis.

Aquarius energy is all about innovation, authenticity, community, collective liberation, and going against the grain to honor your truth. In the context of what we're witnessing in our country right now, this eclipse feels especially significant. It's asking: Where in your life are you being called to step into greater authenticity? What patterns or roles are you ready to release so you can show up more fully as yourself? How can you align with your values, even—especially—when the world feels chaotic?

This eclipse is also deeply connected to ancestral wisdom and collective healing. Aquarius rules the collective—our communities, our movements, our shared humanity. Your ancestors who fought for justice, who organized in secret, who held their communities together in times of crisis—they are part of this eclipse energy. They are reminding you: You know how to do this. Your lineage knows how to do this.

This eclipse opens pathways to new possibilities you may not have seen before. It's about finding your people, strengthening your community, and trusting your inner compass when external structures feel unstable. Expect the unexpected—and trust that what reveals itself is meant to guide you forward.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces: February 26th - March 20th, 2026

Just nine days after the eclipse, Mercury stations retrograde in the dreamy, emotional waters of Pisces. Mercury retrograde gets a bad rap, but in Pisces—especially during a time of collective overwhelm—this is actually a necessary pause for:

  • Deep spiritual reflection and processing what you're witnessing and feeling

  • Connecting with your ancestors and the wisdom they carry

  • Revisiting old dreams or creative projects that bring you back to yourself

  • Healing emotional wounds and ancestral patterns (because what's happening now often activates old, inherited fears and survival mechanisms)

  • Strengthening your intuition and inner knowing when you can't trust what you're hearing externally

Pisces dissolves boundaries—including the boundaries between you and your ancestors, you and the collective, the past and the present. This retrograde may bring up ancestral memories, dreams of those who came before you, or a deeper knowing that you're part of a much longer story. What your lineage survived then can inform how you move through now.

Because Pisces is a water sign, this retrograde isn't about fixing tech glitches (though yes, back up your files!)—it's about feeling your way forward. Your emotions and intuition will be heightened. The boundaries between your personal grief and the collective grief may feel blurred. Pay attention to your dreams, notice what's resurfacing from the past, and give yourself permission to slow down and feel without needing to immediately "do" something with those feelings.

This is not the time to make big decisions or force clarity. This is the time to be with what is, to listen to the whispers of your lineage, and to trust that the answers will come.

The Virgo Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) - March 3rd, 2026

We close out this eclipse season with a total lunar eclipse in Virgo. Lunar eclipses are about release and completion—they illuminate what's no longer serving you so you can let it go.

Virgo asks: Where have you been holding yourself to impossible standards? Where is perfectionism keeping you stuck? What habits, routines, or responsibilities have you been carrying past the point of sustainability?

And right now, with so much happening that feels out of our control, this eclipse also asks: What can you actually tend to? What is yours to hold, and what needs to be released because it's simply too much?

On an ancestral level, this eclipse is about releasing inherited patterns of over-functioning, self-sacrifice, and the belief that you have to earn your right to rest or take up space. How many generations of women in your lineage carried too much, said yes when they meant no, or worked themselves to the bone because they believed they had to? This eclipse is an invitation to heal that pattern—for them, for you, for the generations to come.

This eclipse invites you to release the need to "get it all right," to save everyone, to have all the answers. It asks you to trust that you are enough, exactly as you are—even if you're tired, even if you're grieving, even if you don't know what to do next. It's a powerful time to surrender control, simplify your life, and honor your body's need for rest and restoration.

Hands journaling, ritual items (candles, crystals), or peaceful meditation space

How to navigate this energy:

Here's a simple grounding ritual and journal prompts to support you through eclipse season, Mercury retrograde, and the collective heaviness we're all carrying. This ritual is designed to help you connect with your ancestral resilience while releasing what's no longer yours to carry.

Key Dates to Note:

  • February 17th - New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius (Ring of Fire)

  • February 26th - Mercury Retrograde begins in Pisces

  • March 3rd - Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo (Blood Moon)

  • March 20th - Mercury Retrograde ends

Grounding Ritual: Releasing & Receiving

Best time to do this ritual: On the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 3rd, as this is the most potent time for release and letting go. If you can't do it on that exact day, any time during the waning moon phase (March 3rd-17th) works beautifully.

You'll need:

  • A quiet space

  • A candle (white or purple)

  • Paper and pen

  • A fireproof bowl or somewhere safe to burn the paper

Ritual altar setup, candle and paper, hands holding sage burning herbs, or branded Soul Blossom Ritual graphic

The Soul Blossom Ritual:

  1. Light your candle and take three deep breaths. Place your hand on your heart and say: "I call upon the strength and wisdom of my ancestors. I am safely supported as I release what no longer serves me and open to what is meant for me. I honor those who came before me, and I heal this pattern for all who come after."

  2. On one piece of paper, write down what you're ready to release. This could be:

    • The weight of trying to process everything happening in the world

    • Perfectionist tendencies or the need to "do it all"

    • The need to control outcomes

    • Old fears or limiting beliefs (yours or ancestral)

    • Inherited patterns of silence, over-functioning, or self-sacrifice

    • Relationships or roles that no longer align

    • The pressure to have all the answers right now

    • Ancestral trauma that's been activated by current events

  3. On another piece of paper, write down what you're calling in—both from yourself and from your lineage. This could be:

    • Greater self-trust and inner knowing

    • Emotional freedom and resilience

    • Ancestral wisdom and guidance

    • Authentic connections and supportive community

    • Clarity and purpose

    • Permission to rest, even when the world feels urgent

    • The courage to honor your values, no matter what

    • The ember of hope your ancestors carried forward

  4. Safely burn the "release" paper, watching the smoke carry it away. As it burns, imagine your ancestors witnessing this release with you, supporting you in breaking these cycles. Keep the "receiving" paper somewhere you'll see it daily.

  5. Close by placing both hands on your heart and saying: "I trust the timing of my life. I am exactly where I need to be. I am held by my lineage. I am breaking cycles. I am healing forward."

Journal Prompts for Eclipse Season:

  • What part of me is ready to be seen and expressed more authentically?

  • Where have I been people-pleasing or performing instead of honoring my truth?

  • What would it feel like to release the need to be perfect or have it all figured out?

  • What ancestral patterns am I noticing being activated during this time?

  • What did my ancestors survive that can give me strength now?

  • How can I support my nervous system and emotional well-being during this time?

  • What is mine to carry, and what needs to be released because it's too heavy?

  • Where can I find or create pockets of sanctuary in my life right now?

  • What wisdom might my ancestors want me to know right now?

A few gentle reminders:

  • It's okay to feel emotional right now. Water sign energy brings feelings to the surface so they can be felt, honored, and released—and we're all feeling a lot collectively.

  • You don't need to have it all figured out. Eclipse energy unfolds over months, not days. The same is true for how we navigate uncertain times.

  • Rest is productive. Rest is resistance. Your body and spirit need time to integrate these shifts and to metabolize what you're witnessing.

  • Trust your intuition. If something feels off or unclear, give it time. Mercury retrograde is for reflection, not action. You don't need to know what to do yet.

  • You don't have to carry this alone. Community matters now more than ever.

  • You come from a lineage of survivors. That wisdom lives in your bones. Trust it.

I'm here if you need support navigating these energies—whether that's the astrological shifts or the emotional weight of this moment. Whether it's through a Generational Healing® session to release ancestral patterns that are surfacing (including inherited fears, survival patterns, and collective trauma), or simply a safe space to be seen, heard, and held without judgment—you don't have to move through this alone.

This work isn't just personal healing—it's healing across lineages of land, time, and bloodlines. When we heal ourselves, we heal our ancestors and our descendants. We heal the collective. And right now, that matters more than ever.

You are safely supported here as you heal and grow into your empowered life.
